Screening of The Deadliest Disease in America, a film by Crystal Emery at 6:00 p.m.
A one-hour documentary about the disparities minorities often face in healthcare. The goal of the screening is to raise money and generate support for a nationwide tour of the film that will include workshops and educational resources for the purpose of empowering local communities and prominent stakeholders to work together against racial and ethnic disparities in our health care system. ABWA has been enlisted to help bring together supporters within the business, religious, educational and governmental sectors. The diversity of our membership across these sectors of society can make a big difference in the impact that this film will have in the larger healthcare debate. To preview a trailer of the film, please visit www.urutherighttobe.org.
